NOTICE: SPECIAL-CALLED CHURCH CHARGE CONFERENCE
Sunday, March 8th, @ 6:30 PM
The Board will be voting on the calling into ministry of Gianna Brown. The Charge Conference will be presided over by District Superintendent Robin Bell. This meeting is open to the public for attendance; however, only board members may vote. No other business will be discussed or voted upon.

Our Story
We would first like to say hello and thank you for visiting our site. Christ UMC has been a part of the Independence community for over 60 years. We are strong in tradition, and at the same time, we are looking toward the future for what new ideas God has to show us. We invite you to visit our church and see what our congregation is all about. You will find that we offer a variety of worship.
Christ UMC as a whole is heavily involved in service to the community. Christ taught us to feed his sheep, not just through worship, but also through service and physical nourishment.
Just as our name says we endeavor to be Christ-like. We like to praise, worship, serve, and laugh. Seeing each other’s smiles is a blessing to each of us. We would love to see your smile as well.
SERVICES
WORSHIP SERVICE
Our worship services happen each Saturday and Sunday including a time of singing, congregational prayer, and preaching.
All four services are seen as the ministry and mission of CUMC. Our vision is that we are one church.
COMMUNION
In addition to our normal worship services, we take time each month to observe the Lord's Table as Christ commanded. This observance occurs in each worship service on the first weekend of each month.
